013. Actor: Mary Kate Morrissey

Mary Kate Morrissey is Pennsylvania native but a road girl at heart.

She is known & loved for her role as Elphaba with the national tour of Wicked, & for originating the role of Janis in the first national tour of Mean Girls. Mary Kate is the cofounder & co-instructor of Double Name Witches. DNW is a Music Theatre School that offers intensive masterclass & training programs for aspiring students with dreams of being on the Broadway stage. MK believes that equipping the next generation with tools to succeed & watching her students gain confidence & thrive is some of her most meaningful work. When she’s not teaching or performing, MK can be found snuggling her puppy Bear, tie-dying every article of white clothing she owns, or making the self-proclaimed best guacamole in the world.
